After originally being launched for PlayStation VR in 2021, Fracked has definitely earned its place as a VR classic. It sees players stranded in a remote mountain facility, dodging bullets in relentless run-and-cover gunfights and defending the planet in a final stand against a legion of interdimensional enemies.
Fracked’s run and gun combat and 1:1 grabbable cover system laid the foundations for its successors, Synapse and FRENZIES, and empowered players to outflank, outsmart, and outgun the Fracked. The game also features free and intuitive no-rails movement on foot, on skis and climbing offering new ways to traverse the battlefield. Enhanced for Quest, Fracked is able to take advantage of the ground-breaking technology that the headset offers.
Fracked has earned numerous plaudits from critics and consumers, winning Best VR/AR Game at the 2022 TIGA Awards and Best Action-Adventure game at the 2021 PSVR Without Parole awards. The game was also nominated for Visual Innovation of the Year at the 2022 MCV Awards.
